Are you new to homeschooling and trying to make your way through the maze of information?  We've all been there and understand how you feel.

Summit View has sponsored these workshops in the past and they were very successful in helping people get off to a good start their first year of homeschooling.

On our agenda for the workshop are four speakers -- each briefly sharing their homeschooling journey.  Some are veteran homeschoolers, some are newer.  A variety of homeschooling styles (classical, eclectic, unschooling) will be presented, as well as different scenarios (homeschooling multiple children, homeschooling older children with a baby in the house, homeschooling and running a homebased business, homeschooling an only child).  Hopefully, you can identify with a style or a scenario and get some tools to help you make your first year of homeschooling go smoothly.

We will also be providing handouts with resources for curriculum, online helps, and more.

Space is limited for this workshop, so please reserve your seat now.  Simply send an email to Tracey Amino and give me your name, phone number, and the number of people who will be attending with you (some bring husbands, parents, etc.).  This workshop would be extremely boring for children, so if possible please try to arrange childcare so you can attend.  However, if that's not possible, your children may attend with you.  But, we ask that out of consideration for others, if they get restless or loud, you please step out with them until they are calmed down.  Of course, babies are always welcome too (but the same request applies if they get fussy or noisy).
