2008/09 School Year Info
Summit View is a secular, parent-run homeschool support group serving the East Valley cities of Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Apache Junction, Gilbert, Ahwatukee and Queen Creek. We are looking forward to our 9th year serving East Valley homeschoolers. We have a lot of really exciting things planned for the upcoming year. Some of them include "whole family" activities on days when Dads can attend, monthly park days, a spelling bee, exciting new group classes, and more.

2008/09 Membership & Planning Meeting
We are planning to have our annual Membership & Planning Meeting on Saturday, August 30, 2008. We welcome all newcomers! If you are interested in joining Summit View, please contact us for information about attending this meeting. We will be going over all the activities planned for the upcoming school year, as well determining who will help with what. Summit View is operated as a co-op, so everyone is expected to pitch in and help plan at least one activity for the year. So, please bring pen and paper to the planning meeting and plan to participate on one of our committees.
2008 Introduction to Homeschooling Workshop
We
are planning our annual Introduction to Homeschooling Workshop for
Saturday, August 23, 2008. This workshop is for families who are new to
homeschooling, as well as those who are stilll fairly new and have
questions. We will have a panel of veteran homeschoolers
speaking
about the various issues that have shaped the way they homeschool.

to give
attendees a chanceto get information pertinent to their homeschooling

Mom's Night Out
Join
us for a Mom's Night out on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 7:00 PM at
the Paradise Bakery and Cafe in Mesa (located at the N/W corner of
Baseline and Val Vista.
Take a break from the daily grind and get together with the Summit View Moms for an evening of "Mom" time. Come for dinner - or just for dessert and a beverage. We'd love to see you there!
