MEMBER'S PLANNING MEETING

This is our annual membership renewal meeting that's mandatory for all members.  Come prepared to pay the $20 annual membership fee.  Please bring pen and paper with you to this meeting and plan on participating in one of our committees.

FAMILY BARBECUE
Bring the whole family out to our Summit View annual Family Barbecue.  This potluck-style get-together is a fun way to meet all the new families and catch up with old friends.  Bring your baseball glove, frisbees, etc. for a fun park day with the group.

SCHOOL PICTURES
We try our best to give our kids an experience that has the good parts of the school experience, while leaving out the bad. For most of us, school pictures is one of the good "school" experiences.  Having an annual school picture is a great way to keep track of how big our kids are getting, as well as providing a nice memento for family members and friends.

WINTER FAMILY FORMAL
Bring the whole family out for our annual Winter Family Formal Dance.  Tickets will go on sale in September for this fun-filled night of music and dancing.  Formal or semi-formal attire is required.  Tickets will be sold as "Family Tickets."  So, only one ticket will be required per family.

Every family has their favorite holiday cookie recipe.  Bring out a couple dozen of your favorite homemade cookies to exchange.  Who knows!  You might find a new favorite cookie.

2ND ANNUAL SV SPELLING BEE
Bring your spellers out for a fun afternoon spelling bee. Participation awards will be given, as well as trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

VALENTINE'S DAY PARTY
This fun afternoon card exchange and potluck lunch has been a SV tradition for the last eight years.  There's a list available through our Yahoo Group so you'll know who'll be attending and can plan your cards accordingly.

1ST ANNUAL SV SCIENCE FAIR
The children's imagination can really shine at our first annual SV Science Fair.  Participation awards will be given, as well as trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

FAMILY PICNIC, FIELD DAY & BAKING CONTEST
Join us for a family picnic.  We'll have a friendly field day competition with three-legged races, relay races, a cake walk, spoon races, long jump, and more.  We're also having a baking contest with cake, pie, and cookie categories.  So, put your grandma's recipes to the test.  Prizes will be awarded for field day events, as well as the baking contest.

RECOGNITION CEREMONY
Our kids worked so hard this year.  Let's let them know how much we appreciate and recognize their efforts at our annual Recognition Ceremony.  Award Certificates will be given to all who participate.  Special emphasis will be given to those who are graduating from 8th grade and from high school.
